Leyre is leading the origination and execution of GIG’s renewable fuels and industrial transition projects for deep decarbonization of hard to abate sectors across the EMEA region. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2022, Leyre spent 23 years in different positions within Naturgy Energy Group, from CCGT development, M&A, to different commercial and origination leadership roles within the international LNG unit. From 2020, Leyre led the New Energies and Innovation division where she pushed forward Naturgy’s presence in the biomethane, green hydrogen, green ammonia and clean mobility space. Leyre has a Master of Science in Global Finance from Bayes Business School (City University of London) and Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Deusto Business School.
